Businesswoman Susan Kaittany is set to launch a high-end luxury retailer of perfumes and high-end skincare products in Nairobi, dubbed Polished.
The first store of its kind in Kenya is set to connect luxury lovers to their favorite fragrances, featuring global luxury brands such as Givenchy, Dior, Elizabeth Arden and D&G.
“That means you won’t have to travel overseas to get your favorite Gucci perfume or Kylie cosmetic kit. There won’t be any need for duty-free shopping either. You know why? Because Nordstrom just opened next door. We mean polite,” management said in a statement.

The store will open to the public on Friday, July 16, 2021, and customers can expect interactive brand activations, a week of surprise mystery pricing and special introductory offers during launch week, according to management.
Polished is the latest addition to the Posh Palace family, a well-known brand in Nairobi’s luxury salon and spa scene, also owned by Susan Kaittany.
Kaittany announced her candidacy to expand into high-end beauty products in August 2020, without giving many details.
“The international cosmetics and skincare business will feature brands like Fenti and Dior, and the physical store is expected to launch in the coming days,” she said in 2020.
In 2019, Posh Palace in Kilimani expanded to occupy two floors of the Sifa Towers, the Mezzanine and the First Floor.
“The idea for her beauty business was inspired by the need to create a haven where women could relax while receiving state-of-the-art holistic beauty and wellness treatments. The same vision gave birth to Polished Cosmetics; with the aim of satisfying the beauty aspect that Posh Palace is well known for,” she said.
