As the old saying goes, there is a season for everything and scented candles are no exception. While pumpkin spice is a standard dish for fall, in spring it’s downright sickening. Instead, spring calls for fresh aromas, clean flowers, and a mix of freshly cut grass and April showers.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of some of the internet’s favorite spring scented candles. These are the scents that will bring the outdoors inside and make your kitchen smell like tulips as the sweet smell of honeysuckle drifts through your bedroom.
1. Pear blossom
Each year, pear trees are among the first to bloom, opening between mid-February and early April. Blossoms are a sure sign of spring, and pear blossom candles are an attempt to capture seasonal change in a jar.
Home Worx makes a lovely pear blossom candle that also brings notes of water lily, peach, and camellia blossom. The four-wick candle burns up to 55 hours and delights QVC shoppers, with an on-site review noting that the “very soothing” candle “fulfills [their] the whole house with the freshness of the garden.”
One of Amazon’s most popular Yankee Candles, the brand’s Lilac Blossoms scent is available in a variety of sizes and iterations. Intended, says Yankee Candles, to take shoppers “to an alluring grove filled with lavender, white, and dark purple lilacs,” the candle is made with paraffin-grade candle wax that we loved when we tested them.
The jar candles are also 100% recyclable in partnership with TerraCycle, meaning you can do your part for the Earth while enjoying the scent of spring.
3. Spring 1998
A scent that is meant to evoke not just a season but a year, the Nette’s Spring 1998 candle exudes a pure white floral scent that blends freesia, petitgrain, neroli and orange blossom. The soy wax candle is hand poured and uses all natural fragrances making it clean and long lasting. As if that weren’t enough, there’s still the candle label, which describes the scent as “graduation day, white flowers tossed through the air, heady sunshine pouring all over the floor. .. hope and endless possibilities”. If it’s not spring, then we don’t know what is.
4. Honey and flowers
Made from a blend of beeswax and coconut wax, Hartwell’s Honey Blossom candle offers a delicately scented blend of orange nectar, fresh honey, lily of the valley, rosewood and sweet sugar. The 12-ounce candle has a 100% cotton wick, so it burns cleanly, and QVC buyers note that even after the candle is extinguished, the scent tends to linger pleasantly.
5. Herbs and bergamot
Its maker says this candle blends “bright swirls of bergamot with fresh cut grass, herbal clary sage, and green banana,” and it certainly captures the scents of a morning at the farmer’s market in a ceramic container. We tested Hive & Wick candles in the past and loved them. This hand-poured beeswax version burns for about 30 hours and looks so cute you’ll want to keep its jar even after the scent has completely burned off.
6. California wildflowers
A candle that combines both beautiful fragrance and adorable aesthetics, the Wood & Wine Succulents Spring Candle is inspired by the beautiful fields of California wildflowers. The Soy Wax Candle has a cruelty-free formula that uses fragrant essential oils, and Amazon customers call it “long-lasting” and “great smelling.”
8. Cool Rain
For many parts of the country and the world, spring means rain. Village Candle has attempted to capture the scent of recent downpours in its Rain candle, which it says also contains notes of bergamot, lily and amber. The double-wick jar candle is popular with Amazon shoppers, who say the scent is long-lasting and the candle burns surprisingly slowly.
9. Spring thunderstorms and citrus fruits
A drop of rain is not enough for you? Maybe you prefer a storm. Lorenzen Candles says its Spring Storm fragrance “smells like raindrops falling on your nose as you stroll through a meadow of carnations, lilies, jasmine, and violets.”
The candle also uses essential oils of tuberose, lemon and grapefruit, as well as wax made from soybeans grown in the American Midwest. An Amazon customer said he ordered this candle after moving to a drier part of the country and it did a great job of evoking the smell of a big spring storm.
10. Hyacinth and rhubarb
If spring is more of a hyacinth and rhubarb scent to you, then you might like Floral Street’s Spring Bouquet candle. The Nordstrom exclusive is made from a blend of soy wax and aims to bring what Floral Street says is “a burst of sunshine” into every room.
