“Launch of The Body Shop a good gesture of trade relations between Nepal and UK”

KATHMANDU: The British Ambassador to Nepal, Nicola Pollitt, on Tuesday inaugurated “The Body Shop” at Durbar Marg.
She visited the Daruabr Marg based store owned by Sashi Incorporation and Investment Pvt Ltd, and hailed the launch of the store in Kathmandu.
“The Body Shop” is a UK-based beauty brand that is among the top 10 beauty brands in the world.
Stating that ‘The Body Shop’ in the UK was the first-ever cosmetics brand, British Ambassador Pollitt called the store’s launch an ‘exciting moment’, and a good gesture from relations trade between Nepal and Great Britain.
Sashi Incorporation and Investment Pvt Ltd organized the launch event to commemorate business relations between Nepal and UK.
Similarly, Sashi Incorporation’s Managing Director, Saru Aryal Pradhan, said it was an effort to be the official gateway into the beauty industry with an international reputation.
“The products are environmentally friendly; the raw materials are organically grown without chemical cultivation and are the first cruelty-free brand,” she said.
According to her, tribal communities around the world are engaged in creating sustainable businesses.
Its franchises are located in 84 countries and have approximately 3,500 stores worldwide.
The Body Shop, a British cosmetics, skincare and fragrance company; founded in 1976 in Brighton by the late Dame Anita Roddick, is a forerunner of the green and ethical beauty movement.
