As a shopping writer who loves Amazon, I test a lot of products. And by “a lot” I mean that I have at least 100 beauty products in my bathroom at all times and have officially reached the maximum capacity of clothes in my closet. But, alas, I’m doing all of this to… well, let you know what’s really worth buying there.
Here are the 10 things I’ve loved from Amazon lately, from a thickening hair shampoo to a pair of super comfy slides:
- Ewedoos exercise dress, $30
- RevitaLash Cosmetics Thickening Shampoo, $36
- Poppy & Pout 100% Natural Lip Balm, $10
- Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant Exfoliating Face Powder, $16
- Cushionaire Fame Recovery Cloud Slide, $25
- Essie Hard to Resist Nail Strengthener Treatment, $9 (originally $10)
- Pura D’or Organic Vitamin E Oil, $11 (originally $20)
- Belif the True Cream Moisturizing Bomb, $32 with coupon (originally $38)
- Fekkai Super Strength Multi-Tasking Hair Balm, $24
- Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil, $32
Ewedoos Exercise Dress
My favorite brand of leggings from Amazon has finally jumped on the exercise dress bandwagon — and it’s *beyond* comfortable. I’ve gotten myself into some pretty uncomfortable (and expensive) sports dresses, but this one fit my body right away. It’s soft and smooth, and thanks to the built-in romper (which has pockets!), I feel super secure in it. Plus, it has a removable bra that makes my cleavage beautiful and unrestricted. I will probably wear it all summer while running errands.
RevitaLash Cosmetics Thickening Shampoo
I always have a thickening or volumizing shampoo in my hair care rotation, and lately it’s been this gem from RevitaLash. The brand is best known for its eyelash-enhancing serum, which Meghan Markle said she used once (and which more than 4,600 Amazon shoppers love). The thickening shampoo has a salon-worthy scent and is free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. Every time I use it, my hair looks and feels fuller, so I’m excited to see what the growth results will look like in a few months.
Poppy & Pout 100% Natural Lip Balm
Oprah included Poppy & Pout’s natural lip balms on her list of favorite things of 2021, and now I understand why. The moisturizing lip balm goes on smoothly and softens the lips – I apply it overnight and wake up with a fluffy pout with no cracks in sight. Made with beeswax, sunflower oil, coconut oil and vitamin E, the balms come in eco-friendly packaging and 10 scents. I love my Island Coconut balm and want to try the brand’s lip scrub next (available in the same scents).
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant Exfoliating Face Powder
Speaking of Oprah, here’s another goodie that she loves and that I do too: Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant. I used it years ago, and even though I stopped, I remember loving it. I decided to buy it again and I was not disappointed, it is still as good as ever. Based on rice bran, papaya and colloidal oatmeal, the microfine scrub is delicate but effective. My skin always feels so good after using it. The best part is that you can use it daily because it is so gentle. The large version is $62, but you can test it out with the $16 travel bottle.
Fame Recovery Cloud Slide Cushion
I recently texted my friend that I think these Cushionaire slides are the best $25 I have ever spent. I bought these on a whim via an Instagram ad (as we do), and while I expected to return them, it was love at first slip-on. The slides are super bouncy and plush, and dare I say, the strongest sandals I’ve ever tried. I bought these with the intention of wearing them outside but they are so comfortable I can’t resist wearing them inside so now I am buying a second pair – they are so good .
Essie Hard to Resist Strengthening Nail Treatment
I’ve been using Ohora’s semi-cured gel nail wraps on my nails lately, and even though they leave my nails undamaged (highly recommend them!), I still like to be aware and use a treatment between manicures to keep my nails as healthy as possible. I love Essie’s Hard to Resist Fortifying Treatment because it has a shimmering pink tint that’s pretty enough to use as a nail polish on its own.
Pura D’or Organic Vitamin E Oil
If you’re looking for a multi-tasking oil that can do everything from improving the appearance of stretch marks to softening cuticles, add Pura D’or’s Vitamin E Oil to your cart. . Not only does it smell great, but I have found it to be effective in speeding up the healing of small scars on my hands (resulting from having a rambunctious one year old cat). I didn’t use it on my face, but one shopper in her late 50s said it left her skin “glowing, luminous and taut,” and another shopper even included before and after photos of it. how the oil helped with dark spots around their eye area. It comes in a large 4-ounce bottle and is on sale for just $11 right now.
Belif the real moisturizing cream bomb
Moisturizer is the one thing in my skincare routine that always changes because I’ve never been completely satisfied with it. However, after trying Belif’s True Cream Moisturizer Bomb, I think I’ve finally found one that I’m going to stick with for a while. The moisturizer is a classic for a reason: it has over 32,000 reviews online at retailers thanks to the way it leaves skin soft and supple for hours after application. It absorbs super well and nourishes without being heavy or sticky. Now I plan to try a few other things from the brand like this hydrating toner and skin smoothing serum.
Fekkai Super Strength Multi-Task Balm
My hair gets greasy pretty quickly, so I don’t really use conditioners or hair treatments, but this Fekkai Hair Repair Mask leaves my hair greasy free. It contains a “vegan alternative” to keratin that always makes my locks super soft and shiny after application. My mom even complimented my hair the first time I used it, so I can safely say the results are noticeable.
Ouai Rose Hair and Body Oil
I’m a little late to the Yeah obsession, but I’m here to say if you’ve been debating trying the brand’s popular rose oil – do it! I was pleasantly surprised at how light the oil was; it absorbs easily and doesn’t just sit on your skin. It has a subtle, delicate rose scent and is very easy to apply thanks to its smart pump packaging. You can also use it both as a body oil or for hair, which means once I’m done using it on my clean-shaven legs, I can just use the residue on my hands. for my damp hair. To like.
