A popular perfumery joins the sights and sounds of Cambridge’s high street this weekend.
The Fragrance Shop, the UK’s leading independent fragrance retailer, will open its new boutique in Lion Yard on Saturday 15th May.
Its launch comes two days before the next stage of deconfinement, Monday May 17, which will see the mall’s restaurants open to customers inside.
One of The Fragrance Shop’s regional managers, Lisa Thomas, said the team was “super excited” about the new opening.
“The Fragrance Shop prides itself on providing the best shopping experience with expertise and our team of fragrance experts are ready to do so from a safe distance.
“Now that we’re back on the high street, we can help more people shop and smell the scents they’ve been missing.”

Offering a sensory experience not obtainable online, the ground floor boutique will allow customers to test the fragrances in person.
Designer perfumes, eau de toilette and aftershaves from Gucci, Paco Rabanne and Hugo Boss are among the scents to explore.
Early birds can get their hands on a limited number of free goodie bags, filled with coupons and exclusive samples, during the opening event on Saturday.
As you pass under the branch of party balloons, customers will be directed to a one-way system with markers spaced out to ensure social distancing is followed with ease.
Roger Allen, Center Manager at Lion Yard, said, “We are delighted to welcome such a fantastic brand as The Fragrance Shop at Lion Yard. It’s amazing to see new stores opening in Cambridge after such a difficult year. We look forward to welcoming our customers to the new store.
