Enter probably one of the coolest lists I’ve ever put together: non-negotiables that I love and recommend to almost everyone I know.
It’s no surprise that the New York Post Commerce team loves to shop (check out our homepage for proof). But our mission is to pack the products that stand out – the ones we can’t stop using and can’t stop repurchasing.
From Amazon bestsellers to top-rated smart home items, I’ve rounded up items that make great gifts, make life easier, or are wonderful additions to your online shopping cart.
Ahead, find a collection of 25 life-changing items that I would write individual, handwritten love notes on. They’re just so good, so it’s time for you to join the wave.
As the most expensive item on this list, Roborock’s S7+ Robot Vacuum and Sonic Mop is 100% worth it (otherwise it wouldn’t be included). It’s also one of my favorite vacuum cleaners I’ve reviewed, which saves you time cleaning and adds a lot of value to your smart home collection.
For those who love caffeine (myself included), Nespresso’s Vertuo Plus Coffee and Espresso Machine is top of the line. It makes barista-style blends in seconds, with pods that instantly turn into smooth foams. Plus, it makes a great gift.
After reviewing SMEG’s retro machine, this is one of the best coffee grinders I’ve collected (and by far the cutest). With your favorite whole beans (Atlas Coffee Club and Peet’s Coffee are some of my favorites), you’ll be ready to grab your French press and enjoy.
Speaking of coffee, Lulu Candles has the best aromatic blend that instantly transports you to your favorite coffee. The decadent scent is evident even when unlit, and it’s a spectacular gift under $25.
What have I learned from years of testing hair products and tools? You don’t necessarily need the most expensive products, just the good ones. This $12 set of Velcro rollers has – you guessed it – boosted play for its volumizing effect when blow-drying. Take it as soon as possible, thank you later.
Plus, the brand’s Hot Toddy Heat Protectant Mist ($29) and Southern Belle Volume-Boosting Root Lifter ($29) are a few of my favorites to pair the set with.
Our Place’s Always Pan has been on my stove since I saw it again and I’ve never taken it off (it’s that Well). It replaces eight kitchen utensils, makes a stylish kitchen utensil itself, and is great for whisking eggs to sauté dinners.
If you’re looking for your next loungewear essential, look no further than the Baggy Beach Jumper from Wildfox. I feel like I live there at this point; it’s wonderful for sleeping and just as great for running errands. Plus, the colors are endless.
Want to make your smart TV smarter? Amazon’s best-selling Fire Stick can help you achieve this goal. Dubbed one of the best streaming devices on the market, its ability to connect with Alexa and stream your favorites to Disney+, Hulu and more is second to none.
After testing 50 full-coverage foundations (yes, 50), Charlotte Tilbury’s Beautiful Skin Foundation is one of the best on my list. Not only is its coverage beautiful (as the name suggests) and buildable, but it never looks cakey and is also suitable for mature skin.
For $28, we urge you to purchase Amika’s Brooklyn Bombshell Blowout Volume Spray. It smells absolutely amazing, pairs well with the brand’s new Double Agent 2-in-1 Smoothing Hair Dryer Brush ($150), and is used after every shower. Plus, the packaging is adorable.
If you’re looking for a luxurious body lotion, Necessaire is calling you. Paired with the brand’s Body Wash ($25) and Body Serum ($45), it’s my go-to shower routine that helps treat my skin to proper hydration. Not to mention that niacinamide boosts the skin (check out our roundup of the best niacinamide serums for more).
To tell you the truth, I’m not one to go to the gym; I prefer to exercise from home. But, with obé Fitness’s live and on-demand classes, I feel like I’m part of something much bigger than my looping YouTube fitness videos (and the classes are super encouraging).
After reviewing the platform, I enjoy the HIIT dance and upper body power classes the best, though the pilates, sculpting, and yoga are also amazing. For $27 a month, it’s at least worth a try.
Walk — don’t run — to the Dyson V8. This is the best Dyson vacuum I’ve reviewed and one of the best overall vacuums I’ve reviewed. Once you’re wireless, you’ll never go back; it has never been so easy to clean my house.
Not only is this pack of four mini claw clips just adorable, it’s the perfect size if you have shorter hair or just want the front pieces of your hair out of your face. I can’t go a day without them in my hair, with at least one sitting on my bedside table at all times.
Mascaras can be hit or miss, but Lash Idôle Lash-Lifting & Volumizing Waterproof Mascara by Lancôme? A sure shot.
It’s a new take on the brand, and on the first day I coated my lashes with it, I was (1) asked if I had eyelash extensions and (2) told that my eyelashes looked much longer. That said, it’s a buy under $30 and well worth the purchase.
If you’re looking for a new pair of women’s running shoes or matching white sneakers, APL’s TechLoom Pros are the most comfortable. They’re durable, supportive of your foot, and a great investment to keep in your wardrobe.
I have sensitive teeth and even after trying professional teeth whitening (made possible by my dentist) I had no luck getting my teeth sparkling white – until I reviews the Co. by Colgate home teeth whitening kit.
It’s so simple to use: reload the mould, apply the serum from the pen to your teeth and leave on for 10 minutes. It will beep and turn off when it’s done and I’ll notice the results the very next day.
If you have a ceremony or a wedding to do – or even a prom – you must visit Windsor’s selection of evening dresses. This is one of the only brands I will turn to for posh occasions because the quality is there and the price is right.
If you’re looking for more dresses, check out our guide to the best cocktail dresses.
Abercrombie is back, baby, and we’re so here for it. We’ve reviewed the brand’s jeans (not to mention the brand has some of our favorite jeans in general) and they’re ideal for all body types. Specifically, her wide leg pants are flattering.
If you’re looking for designer sunglasses that won’t break the bank, QUAY’s Coffee Run lenses are the toughest I’ve owned and look high quality. I can’t believe they’re under $75 too, and I’m surprised I’m reaching for them more than my Ray-Bans.
Check out my lunch bag – although it’s not just any lunch bag. It looks like a work tote and is the perfect size to hold a meal prep container and other of your favorite snacks. If you are a commuter, get on this ASAP.
Even if you’re not the most tech-savvy person on the planet, you need a USB-C hub. For devices you own where there’s no USB port, this miniature tech device is essential, allowing you to connect your phone charger, USB microphone, and clip-on ring light ($20) all at once. It’s pretty awesome, and one of the best tech items you’ll find.
Some nights I like to listen to an expert-led MasterClass rather than watch Netflix (shock alert). Specifically, Gordon Ramsay’s cooking class has my full attention, and for just $15 a month, it couldn’t be easier to learn a new skill or sharpen up a rusty one.
OK, real talk – stickers shouldn’t be called “life-changing”, but if you’ve got a planner, this all-in-one pack is all you’ll need. Options to report paydays and laundry days to others offering cute sayings and colorful designs you’ll want to snatch for the next month.
As one of our favorite cookie delivery services, Levain Bakery is hard for other brands to keep up with. It’s one of New York’s best, and its four-pack of cookies makes an amazing birthday present (or sweet surprise for any occasion). Oh, and if you want a recommendation, go for the dark chocolate peanut butter (you won’t regret it).
